I currently use Places Scout but their upcoming pricing change is a bit steep. Are there any comparable local SEO trackers out there? Anyone use BrightLocal or Serpbook for local tracking?

I have used serp book, it is pretty good. I like serpfox better. I think the pricing is a bit better on serpfox. But updates ranking everyhour. Can even create a client login report area.

If you aren't using SERPWoo...

Then good luck when your competitors do

Eliquid,

The local reports aren't suitable for clients yet. I think CC is working on
updating them.

One thing I noticed about some of your competition is that they separate out map rankings from organic rankings, even if the results are blended. So, you have two lines for each keyword. One for organic and one for maps instead of one that includes all the info, including blended results.

Places Scout has it right. For example:

chicago pizza 1 (7-pack) Maps: 4
chicago pies 3 (organic) Maps: 5

So, the first number they see is where the client's website is on the page, i.e., how many positions down the page including maps and organic listings.

Eliquid,

I think my post above was a little confusing. I like the Serpwoo method:

View real organic Map Packs instead of "google maps" versions with other rank trackers.

Just waiting for some Places Scout like reporting templates to be added to Serpwoo.

Correct, I did get in contact with @charlesmartel once I saw this thread and we've been going back and forth on his local SEO needs. We should have a solution for his PDF reporting done within this week so he can migrate over to SERPWoo. It's a simple quick glance overview, so all is well within the realm.

Proranktracker is pretty badass. I prefer it over any of the other rank trackers just because it's easy to use and it's more accurate than any other tracker I've used.

Try out SERanking.com. It is a powerful and multifunctional seo software that monitors website rankings and rankings of your competitors, gets a website audit analysis, tracks backlinks from GWT, get keywords ideas and many other great features.

+1 for PRT. When exporting local from PRT you export a number and a letter. So the number represents where the local pack sits for the keyword, and then the letter represents your rank in the pack.

It's great because it lets you track whether the local pack is #1-3 essentially, and then your rank within it.

When you export however, you will just need to seperate out the two and then replace the letters with numbers to accurately graph and shit.

serpwoo is without a doubt the best platform out there.. it gives you such a larger view
of the landscape as well as a kick ass keyword tool and support is excellent

I have use them all
