Why didn't he just say, "yeah, article marketing can work, but avoid publishing them to low quality article banks and content farms"? That would have been a helpful response. I guess the Internet is no longer about content and all that matters is tweets and FB fan pages. Yeah okay.

There are a million things out there that people search for every day that truly are not important enough to talk about to other people online. Until that changes, we are still going to be posting articles to our "blogs" and artificially linkbuilding.

Well he is more speaking abut duplicate content. Of course it is not bright idea to submit the same article to your website and on ezine articles, or article base.

If you do things clean and rewrite, spin or do whatever manipulations to make content unique and then submit to article directories then there is no problem with that.
