IF I could give just one piece of advice to new parents it would be this:

You MUST set expectations - ahead of time - for a child's behavior.

You can't fault them if you didn't tell them what the rules are. And if you start young, they will know how they are supposed to act.

99 times out of 100 if my kids act up I am responsible.

That only goes so far, after 10-12 they're on their own because the opinion of their peers will far outweigh yours. What I'm trying to say is don't beat yourself up if you end up having 'bad' kids - it's not always the parents fault.
