I'm considering taking on the task of working it out / learning PHP.
Is it ok to chat on AIM to any of you if / when i get stuck (it's inevitable).
At the end of the day it's a small-time, fun project. I want to learn PHP, if someone feels like teaching me / guiding me on this i'll still offer 50%.

Start with the free sample of 'Build your own database driven website using PHP & MySQl' at Sitepoint. An oldie but goodie. But you will get farther faster with human help and from your other posts, I don't think you are real long on patience, my friend ...

Go buy or download the lynda.com basic php tutorial. that will get you started. While
going through it start building a database driven website like someone mentioned earlier.
You will learn PHP, MySql and the basics of security while at it.
After the basics, you should look into OOP perhaps.
This will all take some time and patience so you really need to be into it. I first started
with a myspace type of site, which was out of my league, but i made it through and
because it had alot of features i learned pretty much everything i have ever needed from it.
Anyways, good luck becoming a "developer"

Im not too serious guy when it comes to internet and thought "ok, he flipped, i don't mind, i still try to help him and settle things down smooth". So i sent you an answer to this very thread that was informative and friendly. Then what happens, you go crazy again. That was enough for me.
