I've decided to take some of my winnings to finish off my basement this summer. I've got a game room, lounge and home theater room framed out and managed to sneak in a nice little office space. Here's some shot's of where I'm at - I'm going to start insulating and sheetrock next week. Just looking for some last minute ideas that I might not have considered before I finish. Since there are no windows, I'm open to suggestions for an interesting wallpaper mural or something.

Why get a mural, get a flat screen tv maybe build it into the wall.

If that's not your thing, look into getting a fish tank.

Was thinking of a flat screen going on the wall to the left. I thought maybe some type of mural with a perspective view might make the room appear a little larger.

you got a wet bar in your office? fucking nice!

you should get a mural of a big fat dolla bill haha

All the plumbing was right there anyway, so I figured a small bar sink with a counter height fridge underneath.

Fuck, I started pricing murals - would be cheaper to just paste real dollar bills to the entire wall!!

Although this one looks kind of cool:

I had an office in my house without a window. It worked but it messed me up. Man needs light to live and you can go a little stir crazy without windows.

Some countries over here even made it illegal to employ anyone to work in an office without a window.

I have a bar in what originally started out as a work area for me ... now I can't find the Jagermeister because the whole thing is covered in paperwork and spare computer parts. Must declare EPIC FAIL on myself.

Nice work!

I wonder if I could find an ad display like they have in airports - you know, the backlit transparencies? Anybody know what they are called? Maybe I could take my favorite scenic photos and have large transparencies made - for each season? I could then frame out a fake window around it with trim boards.

I used to live in a basement for almost 2 years with no windows and a steel door (no peephole) :( And yes i went fucking nuts....spend the money on a nice perspective mural. Maybe even hire a graffiti artist to do it...that would look sick.

You might check out a skylight. There are some creative ways to get a skylight down to lower floor using mirrors and such in the walls.

Good call. There's actually a bedroom closet above that "wet bar" space and then roof above that. I could do one of those tube ones with very little impact - just a little lost closet space above. I could light up that bar like the Holy Grail!

Or...I might just say fuck it and set up in my designated home theater room which has a window (this is a walkout basement). I've got two four foot bifold door closets in there (to the right of the "server closet"). I could hide a desk and terminal in one of the closets and close the door when not in use. Turn the other room into a wine cellar! How gay would that be?

I think something like that would look cool if u had the wood floors to match.
people would probably walk into the wall. Oh and its wallpaper from ebay search window wallpaper.
If you live in Jersey get in contact with me I know some graff artists that would love to do some free pieces in
your office.
