Hi,

in 2011 i will be looking for someone who is good in keyword research and white had optimization of a big website, not a single niche, in order to get a head start i thought i would post a topic here where people who are interested can post their experience, people with company preferred. this would be a fixed monthly rate and as the site grows your payment will grow as well.

Regards,

Cygon

to be honest, i have no clue what the the going rate is these days thats also why I'm starting this topic to get an idea, the big companies I've approached are all around 5000$/ month, would like to start of a little less. but would definitely be more then 1000$ / month

What are the goals of your campaign? I only ask because I'd like to know how much effort would be expected every month relative to the pay.

Hi there i run a very successfull seo company and would be an honor to take on another client if you want any more details send me a pm my partner and i have over 100 clients ranking top 3 naturally and some blackhat as well we average around 1200 a month depending on the niche and compotition but we have no clients we have had to charge 5000 for thats insane if you want send me the url to the site and i will give you a free consultation and forward you to my partner for proof of expertise and success you will be impressed at the current customers we have.

We just got TELUS international as a client thats how well known we are.

Cheers
Joe

Hello mate, if your just in the right budget to have your site rank high in Google. I can make you to the top. I assure you that all my work are white hat and all are done manually. If your interested just shoot me a message. Regards,

Depending on the niche I might be interested, I've worked with some of the larger web companies in Australia and have proven results in the credit card/insurance and financial niches.

I've signed some do not compete clauses and also have quite a few ongoing projects so I'm not sure I will be able to take on the project but depending on the niche and your expectations I might be interested.

My suggestion to you would be this though: don't look for a SEO expert on webmaster forums like wickedfire. What you really should do is try to find a more general business forum (especially stuff catered to small/medium businesses) and post there for suggestions. That way you will get recommendations from people who have seen proven results and aren't personally interested (e.g most people myself included are just going to recommend themselves on wickedfire).

To get the most out of my site,
site:mysite.com -> About 16,600,000 results
Lot of pages are out there that need the correct keywords for short and long tailed ones, so i believe there is a lot more traffic out there that can be brought this way.

Sounds like you have a lot of work to do. Does your site use a CMS and if so which one? In fact, PM me the details if you'd like.

it's our own software, a layout change is going to happen next month since on site SEO currently sucks, then in january 2011 a complete new version will be made, so it would be advising the keywords for the new layout and also for the newly coded website to help integrate things that might make the SEO control easier then to adjust the core code.

at this point i do not want to give out my url yet, will only say it's TV related, completely legal and full of content.

OK, so let me get this straight...

You are using a custom CMS and you are going to retemplate the site completely in 2 months, yet you want someone else to do keyword research for you and to tell you stuff like "you should put your keywords in an h1 tag", but you won't give out your URL and you are going to retemplate the site without input from your SEO?

I'm not quite sure where you are going with this, but my initial reaction is that you are going to be one of those control-freak clients who questions everything, rejects change, and holds back important business logic.

If your site is not SEO friendly, I suggest getting your new SEO onboard immediately before rolling out a new code base or template system. Just my $.04.

i will give out the url when i find the person who i want to hire of course just not here on the forum publicly, and we are currently making a new layout for friendly on site seo, thats why i don't need the person till 2011, cause new layout will be online in december.

What I'm trying to say is this - what if the new SEO knows more than anyone in your company and tells you that you need to fix your new layout? All I'm saying is that I think if you plan to hire an SEO to work on your website, you really need to have that person on board to help plan the new layout. I personally would not be happy if someone hired me AFTER publishing a brand new "SEO friendly" layout, because I can't tell you how many times I have consulted with clients for SEO and recommended about 100 changes to the layout that they thought was already "SEO friendly".

well a new layout is currently put in place, i have designer that knows SEO well, but after the layout is done it's not his job anymore. a new layout will be implemented alongside with a freshly coded website and then whoever has the SEO job has seniority over anything SEO related on the website.

I wouldnt mind accepting your $1k a month

but I dont know jack about seo and would only come into WF and spend $50 a month for links. :)
