Hi guys,

I was hoping some of you wouldn't mind taking a gander at a landing page I whipped together for audio books.

audiobooksoption.com

I've played around a little bit with PPC. I spent $35.40 and made...$35. So, I'm in the red $0.40 (ZOMG! I R BROKE!). I think it mostly has to do with the fact that I am a huge noob and just now starting to dip my toes into PPC --> LP --> Aff. However, I learned a lot in the process and actually broke even.

I'm getting over being scared shitless of PPC, so I'm planning on doing another test-run with more relevant keywords and a few more clicks. However, before I do that, I would really, really appreciate any insight, comments, and flames from you folks regarding the LP - and anything else you care to offer.

Another question - most affiliates provide 30-90 day cookies. The offers I'm promoting here are 60-90 days. So, in my n00blet mind, it might be reasonable to expect that one could find themselves getting leads / sales from campaigns ran a month or two prior. So you could be sitting there, thinking your campaign was shit, yet over the course of two months, you do make a profit. Does this ever happen and if so, what's the likelihood? Is the "solution" to just get/buy more clicks (with targeted traffic of course)? Am I making any sense at all?

Thanks!

This past summer, I ran some ringtone offers, spending no money on PPC or much time on optimization. I took some time off from any web related ventures and a few months later,I re-checked the affiliate account and found that I had a few conversions. I don't really have much experience in this but I thought it would be of some use to give you an example.

Thanks for the reply, Illos. Sounds logical enough.

Sorry for the bump, anyone else? :anon.sml:

The three review columns should be made into 3 rows. Easier to read horizontally. Make the background colors of the areas slightly different to improve scanability.

The text blocks farther down are too wide. Cut the width down to make it easier to read.

when i hover over the columns they resize when the border thickens, which shifts the other columns around slightly, making it look a little clunky. This was with Firefox

If you're going to use a review page, you should try to make the choice for your visitor. Currently, I see 3 choices. But, it's not clear to me at a glance which choice is best. I see plenty of benefits for each of the 3 choices. But, as a visitor, I want you to tell me which of the 3 blows the other 2 away.

The links that go to your support pages should be at the bottom. Too much potential to distract your visitor by placing the links in the middle of your lander. Also, while the mouseover effect of the links is "kinda cool," I'd make the links (again, at the bottom) stand out as little as possible.

The "Learn More" at the bottom of each choice's image doesn't motivate me. A better call to action might be, "Click Here To Get Your 2 Free Audiobooks!"

audax is on the money with the column width of your text reviews. Much too wide.

As Rockpile mentioned, there seems to be a mouseover effect on the images at the top. It's distracting.

One more thing... I'd eliminate the title graphic. It doesn't add any value to the visitor. If I clicked an ad and came to your lander, I'd want to see...

"Discover How You Can Immediately Get 2 Audio Books Completely Free!"

Then, give a couple of sentences of pre-sell to warm me up on why your number 1 choice is better than the other 2 choices.

I don't mean to be overly-critical. Just trying to offer a bit of advice.

Hope it helps some.
