Machida is fuckin bad ass. He seems unbeatable with that lean back stance of his. Somebody would have to catch him with a submission to beat him, but he's a black belt in jujitsu.

boring as hell fight i'm glad it ended exciting.
I wonder if the light heavyweights will have a defending champion anytime soon. I really thought forest was the man for the job. At least if he would of fought machida he would have leg kicked the crap outta him for 5 rounds.

I thought it was a great tactical fight.. Lyoto is one of the best tacticians in MMA in my opinion, with his back stance, quicknes, and elusiveness he'll be hard to get to ala. Anderson Silva..

typical of mma. With every success and rising star everyone jumps up on their dick and declares them undefeatable (*reference: kimbo and lesner). So say what you want about him just because he's had a few losses but at least forrest griffin has been a consistent ass kicker and an incredible contender every single season. So i'm sticking by my guns with him as my favorite.
imho lyotos style is just unique and unresolved. Nothing more. Someone will defeat it and then everyone will defeat it, either that or it'll become THE way to do things and people a lot better than him at it will come along and break him down. Or as joe rogan said, it'll be a wrestler ground n pounding him.

Yeah Deliguy but Kimbo wouldn't have lasted one match in the UFC. I do think it is bad for UFC to keep getting a star to the top and then they get beat. Mike Tyson is a huge part of what made boxing so popular for awhile even though a lot of his opponents weren't the best people still wanted a person who seemed undefeatable. Lesnar will probably get submitted again when he fits Mir and then UFC will be back at square one. I would like to see Silva come up in weight to fit Machida, that would be a hell of a match as far as technique and skill.
That fight was crazy, I deff thought Evans was going to win by KO that guy is a beast and then he ends up knocked out.
Because he wants to get a higher percentage of the money made and have some production rights. Dana White won't give up a thing and also UFC doesn't really have a huge name right now to go up against him and build it up. I think if Lesnar wins his next fight you could see Fedor coming to the UFC soon. Fedor also has never really fought in an octogan and has always fought in a ring which those who switch over such as CroCop, Shogun, etc havent faired well.
Stylistically it would make for a good match up (even though Silva has looked avg at best in his last 3 fights). But this will as Silva puts it, "Never take place" as they're best of friends and training partners.
On a different note, Lesnar has far more to prove before he starts getting mentioned w/ the likes of a Fedor. Sure for the casual fan it has the circus like intrigue, but personally, I'm far more excited about the eventual Fedor vs. Barnett matchup in Affliction.
Great fight, even the first round of measuring out. I like it to last a couple rounds just to see some skills. Glad about the results. Didn't really like Evans cause he was so cocky, a nice beat down cleared his mind I'm sure.
Yeah I agree Silva hasn't looked great as of late and his fights are becoming real boring. Lesnar is cool to watch because of the circus atmosphere like you said with him being a physical freak but Mir caught him easily in a submission and I think if Lesnar fights anyone who has some good technical skill he won't be able to do much.
