Ok. I dont want to keep my desktop running throughout the week while Im away so Id prefer just keeping something on such as the Mac Mini. Is there any alternative in the market for it?

Addtionally, I need to have access to something like my own PC which I can access via Remote to my iPad. Is there something like that in the market>

"Go to my pc" has an ipad app that allows for control of a PC or a Mac.

Logmein has remote access features, but I don't know if it has an iPad app or Mac compatibility.

Lenovo Ideacenter q700's are ~$500 and run Windows. Similar profile to a Mac Mini.

Check that........Logmein has an iPad App, as well as a Mac host version too.

Ok. But lets say that I did not have a PC. Say, I wanted some sort of a virtual pc where I have full access to it remotely. I dont own the hardware. Just the OS. Is there something like that?

logmein is what you want, I would suggest having your mac just go to sleep instead of completely turning off.

Logmein also has a Wake on lan solution, but it requires at least one computer on your network be on at all times.

There ipad app is the tits too.

Wait after reading your other replies, I would suggest getting away from computers altogether, its just not for you.

It has both. I'd definitely recommend logmein. Also, it can bump computers from sleep mode.
