making a free ipod landing page...what to have in mind?

I'm now starting to build a landing page and I dont really know what to use..what's best and what's not...what converts the most and what not?
Should i use some a cms system like joomla or wordpress or should i try to take a templatemonster template and edit that.
I'm thinking at some ipod reviews with some pictures and on the bottom of the post(if i'm gonna use wp) i'm gonna put a banner with that "get a free ipod now" and i'm probably gonna use copeac .I'm also gonna insert some affilate links in that ipod review and on the site i'm gonna have a section with some others pay per lead products.
I'm gonna start with some adwords campaigns and afterwards i'm gonna try spamming CL and myspace.
Wish me luck , will se how it goes!
Is there something i'm missing or is there something else that you think i should try?

honestly, I would recommend learning html and making your own .____.

but if you don't want to, then go with wordpress.

If anyone is seriously interested in landing page design, check out Marketing Sherpa's Landing Page Handbook. I went from knowing nothing to knowing quite a shitload and I'm not even halfway though the book.

Agreed. Definitely worth the $250.
