A buddy of mine and I were having a discussion on what we thought would be in the future for internet marketing. With 70% of America already owning a computer and most having internet he said there is a big portion of that internet user base that has yet to discover social networks(facebook,myspace etc.) He thought facebook and myspace have a huge margin for growth and have still yet to be mined for the millions its worth. I on the otherhand think that they are almost at their peak and like google adwords and adsense are going to hit their peak and stay there or start losing interest, but in other words don't have as much room for growth as people would be lead to believe. I think the next big thing is going to be internet television(hulu.com,veoh.com, etc.) and would put my money on that being the new go to marketing platform of the future for us internet marketers. He didn't agree,so I thought I would ask what other internet marketers thought? Am I right? Comments, Suggestions, Ideas?
