Definitely a top-notch book. Mainly because it's not just opinions like all the shit ebooks out there that basically say the same thing with different words. You know them all already. Sherpa is numbers and facts, testing and tracking which for me is the only information that means anything to me. If you're not already familiar with it, read "Scientific Advertising" by Claude Hopkins. Read it today. It's public domain. It will very quickly put you in the right mindset for building your business. That book is your foundation, tracking software are your tools (split testing, multivariate, Taguchi), and Marketing Sherpa is your "Physicians Desk Reference" moving forward.

By the way, there's was a link over at Black Hat World for the 2005 Marketing Sherpa edition. Live as of yesterday.

BHW is cesspool of mods pushin $500 ebooks on newbs. No need to wade through all that shit. I normally wouldn't waste my time finding a ebook but this one seems to be pretty good so here is a link. This is the one concerning landing pages

Yes, the book is updated yearly. The 2008 edition is $497. But frankly, the fundamentals of what moves people to pull out their cash or credit card haven't changed in many, many years. So the 2005 case studies are still highly relevant. If you have any doubts, test them.

And popeye, yea, BHW is the pits. They have the occasional good find, but its 99% crap.

It's a great book and worth every dollar. However, it's main focus is on the merchant and advertiser (owner of the offer).

Affiliate marketers can apply what's detailed in only a very overall sense.
