A post on OKCupid's blog about why you should never pay for a dating site was taken down. Hmm...
 


Are you trying to imply that Match.com paid 50 Mil to get them to remove the blog post? :p
 
No Match paid 50 million to get rid of a free competitor before they started gaining more traction and making people resent paying for biological urges.
 
So I run a site where I sacrifice (some) profit for my idealistic ways. Kind of like OKCupid did.

But... at what point do you "sell out", and how do you justify it? Cuz when I sell this idealistic site, it's no doubt going to get obliterated like OKcupid will be.

Food for thought.

Anyway, that post is total win.
