So I am a Maxbounty affiliate, but never tried an offer yet. Saturday I decided to give it a shot. I take my affiliate link off their page, and it's funny because from my computer I click on it and is redirects to a different site. But then I check it from a Panera's and the link goes where it's supposed to go. So I throw good traffic at the offer.

What do you know, when I check my stats, one third of the leads were redirected to this other completely unrelated offer. Of couse, I get no sales. Not from 2/3 that went to the right offer, but that's ok. And no sales from the completely unrelated page either...that's expected.

This has never happened to me with an affiliate link. I'm in the USA. Ever happened to you? Is this a maxbounty thing? I'm bummed because I don't feel like trying them anymore.

I've been running offers with them for a long time. The reason for redirect is probably visitors from other countries. If offer only accepts US traffic, the rest of the visitors will be re-directed to a default international offer.

Exactly the same happened to me. Especially bad was yesterday when out of 450 clicks 100 came from Canada and were re-directed to Future shop gift card offer. I'm targeting US in campaign settings (Google content).
I will talk to my AM Monday though she is not particularly useful most of the time. :fart:

When your clicks go to a campaign that isn't the one you were advertising, it is because of our geo-redirection. We specifically do that so you still have the chance to monetize the click. For example, if someone from Canada clicks on a US-only campaign, the person will get automatically switched to a Canada friendly campaign and you'll have the chance to make money.

For why your US click got redirected, I'd have to assume that either your ISP is messed up and doesn't have your IP address correct mapped as US based, or your IP was re-assigned as a US IP address later than our most recent IP-to-country database refresh.

If this is a major issue, let me know and I can check into a few of your IP's to see what's up. I'd need your MB affiliate ID.

Yeah, I bet it is a bad GEO-IP mapping. Just contact him and give the ips that are US on your end but different on their end. They should be able to re-map those ip allocations to the right ones.

Sergit: ditto. I also target usa only on google content and I also have leads sent to future shop, but most went to Survey Scout, which is a long 3 page offer which is no good for my traffic in this case.
