Has anyone had experience with Media.net before? I've had them on my site for a month or so. Last month earned $300 or so and received payment. Yesterday I get an email from my contact, says I'm being passed to new person. Fine, no big deal. I go to login today to check my stats and can't get in with my saved password. Ok, no biggie again, reset password, still can't get in. Check my site and ads are no longer being served. Attempt to call by phone, no luck. They owe me a few grand and getting slightly annoyed. Anyone else have issues before or having issues recently? :angrysoapbox_sml:

Patience, damnyouson, patience.

I happen to have gotten a site approved in there today, so it's not that they've picked up and deserted us all at least.

Media.net sucks balls. They contacted me out of the blue about advertising on a big site of mine (100k+ impressions/day), I figured I'd give them some impressions to try it and see how it goes.

It performed pretty shit, then my account manager sends me an e-mail asking for a list of my most searched keywords so that they can improve the ad targeting. I send a list of 10 KWs (as it was no big secret where my traffic was coming from - at least not the top 10-20 search phrases).

Then he tells me that because of the content of my site he has to pull the advertising all together.

WTF. You contacted me and then say the content isn't in the guidelines? Bunch of fucking morons over there.

Finally got a response from my "manager" said she was looking in to it. Four hours later she's disappeared. I'm going to have to agree with tencentpiece on them sucking, a lot.

Did you email your account manager for help? That's usually the fastest way to get a response. If you still have trouble I can get it resolved for you.

With regards to ads not showing up yesterday, some of our customers experienced a technical issue with our ads yesterday for a brief period of time. All customers that were impacted will receive a FULL credit for the time their ads were not showing. This credit will be issued well in time before the payout is due for the month.

Note that we have FULLY rectified the problem.
We apologize for the technical issue. Please rest assured that we will fully compensate you and everyone else that was affected by this issue.

Nice to see a response from the company. I however have not received any word back from either account manager. I emailed both my old manager and the one who is supposed to be taking over my account. I received a response at 3am EST from my old manager advising she would look into it. It is now almost 11 hours later and not another word from the company.

Please email me your account details/email address and I'll look into it ASAP. andrew.a (at) media.net

Thanks

They did the exact same thing to me, except for 2 sites. One site they said they had to pull the ads for the same reason they gave you, the second site the manager wanted me to run their ads for 2 weeks and see how it performed. After a couple days of making nearly nothing, I told them I wasn't going to continue the campaign as it was costing me too much money to experiment with their platform. They never responded and I haven't run their stuff since. Not sure what niche would work with their system, but I haven't found it yet.

Glad I saw this...

Media.net contacted me about advertising on one of my babies the other week and gave me the spiel on how they're so much better yada yada

This site wasn't massive, especially compared to most on here, and They just come across as 'needy'.

I just ignored it after our initial chat, but I've half been thinking about returning the messages now Adsense seems to be deteriorating .

I tried it on a site that normally gets CPC of a buck or two, and an RPM around $50 because some people said they were making $100 RPM with Media.net. But I was getting pennies/click with media.net - they said they would give me a custom adv. but it looked really spammy and generic to me. ...like welcome to 1996.

People keep suggesting media.net as a good adsense alternative, but it certainly wasn't for me. I thought it was just me....

Lesson: It's never just you.....

Just wanted to update my "wonderful" experience with Media.net. The individual who posted here responded a day or so after original contact and after a few more days my account was back up and running. I was promised that I'd see credit for the lost earnings due to their error. That never happened and my email requests to my assigned "contact" were never responded to. A month goes by and then I get an email that my account is under suspision for fraud, and should stop whatever negative behaviors I was doing. I immediately contacted MediaNet as to what was going on so it could be rectified. An hour or so later, I get an email saying my account is suspended and the ~$1,500 or so they owe me has been forfeited. WHAT!? Again countless emails to both the person who posted here and my "contact". As before, no responses, no answers, nothing. Now my site did drop off in traffic, and honestly forgot about removing their ads. There was no fraud though, and I was earning $0 for two weeks, so how's that fraud?

Summary: Media.net is impossible to get in touch with, they never respond, and should all in all be avoided.
