I can see having kids with a woman making you age quicker. Having to get up in the middle of the night 3-4 times a week cause your baby is screaming would make anyone age faster.

I would almost rather adopt children just so I could skip that phase.

So true! and seeing your children growing up the way you want them to be or just being a better person, i guess that's a wonderful feeling that makes you live longer. ;)

What do all the things related with common "bad marriages", "kids", etc. have in common? Stress.

I have found it extremely beneficial to get up at 4:30, meditate for 20 minutes, hit the gym, and get back by 7:15-7:30 for breakfast and starting my day off that way while everyone else is just rushing to shower and get out the door.
