I just noticed that Microsofts contextual ads are finally on Digg.com on the right hand sidebar. This is like 2 months after they announced they'd be ditching AdSense go to with Microsoft exclusively.

Are you guys also seeing them? What do you think? For me, the ads are so shitty. Not very well targeted at all since I'm seeing Forex and Mortgage ads.

Well, how can they be targetted? The page subject matter is all over the place.

The AdSense ads are usually targeted to one or two of the topics on the page though. There wasn't anything on the homepage about forex's, weight loss, or mortgages. This is even more true if you go to a page about a specific topic. The AdSense ones are usually super targeted on those pages. If they had the Microsoft ones on those pages and they're as poorly targeted as they are on the hompage, Digg's CTR is gonna be so much lower.

hmm someone should make a test what text ad style converts best... MS ads looking stupid.

Why the hell do PPC companies allow dictionary buys?

O wait I remember, they are money grubbing whores.

But I shouldnt talk too much, my last keyword upload was 12,000 phrases. But of course very little "hot scat action"
