Military Training Evolved



Holy shit this has come pretty far since I last saw. It seriously has evolved like 10 fold in the past 10 years.

I wouldn't doubt it. We used to have off-duty cops come in as volunteers and play the roles of everything from suspected domestic terrorists to drunk servicemembers and their wives (responding to escalated, violent domestic issues on base, etc.)

Even that training was pretty hardcore because a certain level of physical violence was expected to make it more real when the scenario escalated. For instance, I was making an arrest once and was about to tie-wrap a suspect's hands when he reached up, grab my balls, and twisted...hard. I shot the fucker in the back of the head (that part was simulated with mock firearms, though).
