PC is usually a better experience for games. Less canned and guided paths. You can also change your video card or any other problem components but on a console you are stuck with an older generation video card. They were cutting edge 3 years ago but not anymore.

Plus I like gaming mice more than controllers.

pc hands down.

if you're just a casual gamer that won't play much, go for xbox. the controls are easier to learn..

PC will be more difficult to learn the control effectively, but you gain so much more control / speed.

It seems like everyone has a 360. I got a PS3 and it kinda feels like I'm missing out on what everyone else has.

But if you're used to gaming on PC, you gotta go with that.

EDIT: But make sure you get a PS3 so I can drop a nuke on you :-)

I think FPS's are just as fun on both tbh.

Greater level of aim and skill level can be acquired on pc.

Consoles are good because there are no spec advantages, people on PC with a beastly set up have quite a bit of an advatange over you if you don't.

Relatively I think you will have just as much fun on both so I'd go with where your friends play. I used to be a PC gamer then I had an xbox and I've just reluctantly bought a PS3 because my friends have all switched.

PC, if you want to see what you're capable of in terms of reflex, hand/eye coordination and you're the type of gamer who sits down to dominate.

If you don't really care if the game uses slight auto-aim, and just sits down to have fun, get it on xbox360.

The thing is you can still dominate and reach extreme levels of skill and competition on an xbox, PC gamers will never understand this until they do it themselves.

I've got it for 360. Definitely fun. (Just got a 360 recently, hadn't had a console since SNES :P)

u might have to go for PC. Mouse Look FTW. I love my PS3 and all, but i rarely even play games on it anymore. who the fuck has time?

You'll never know what you're capable of if you sit down at an auto aiming console with sub par controls. You will find this out exactly using mouse and keyboard.

Rough count in my head, I got banned from more than 150 counterstrike servers for cheating... sometimes it would be my score, sometimes it would be the uneven playing field, 95% of the time it would be accusations of aimbotting. I have some friends who dominate on console, but they really can't pull off the shit I did in CS, not a chance.

Let me elaborate,

I played CS for 8 years, several of those years I was involved in every league there was. During that time I had 0.13-0.15 sec reflex, I'd whip my mouse and end up on your head, no readjustment needed.

Used a 300~ dollar pair of Sennheisers and got to the point where I could predict exactly where you were and where you're heading using only sound. Learned over the years to take advantage of this in every map, dink dink, dead again through the wall.

Was able to control the recoil of the AK from the top of A in dust 2 to a smaller circle no bigger than the head of the team coming through cat. Learned all tactical advantages the league maps had to offer by watching the top matches/cpl demos religiously, a lot of those advantages required the dexterity of mouse/kb.

So I'm going to go ahead and correct your statement that console players do not, never have, and never will compare to the level of skill achievable on PC "until they do it themselves".

Zimok nailed it. Nothing compares to the PC for gaming experience, in any game, for video processing capabilities not to mention the controls. I can't imagine playing FPS games on a console and doing really well at them. Console players all beat their chest and say "I can beat any PC gamer", but the simple mechanics behind the two platforms mean it's highly unlikely. Yo might destroy your Xbox 360 competition, but if you were playing against the PC crowd you would be lagging behind.

That being said, it's been a good two weeks or more since I last played due to my workload. I'm stuck at around level 38. I'd love to get in there and mix it up with some of you.
