Ok guys, so i have a tattoo website. I just got to top10 in google to one of the biggest tattoo keywords. What do you think it would work best? I tried adsense but i feel like i'm leaving a lot of money on the table. I will try some clickbank products next but i have a feeling they wont work that good.

What are your thaughs on this?

Thanks,
Robert

Seems to depend a lot on what kind of tattoo niche you are working with.
If it's hardcore, you could push tough-guy and biker stuff, or maybe even MMA offers.
or if it's tramp stamp tattoos, sell slutty girl merchandise.
if it's dorky indie tattoos, push t-shirts and skinny jeans.
If it's sailor tattoos, sell spinach.

Drop the adsense it pays cents, clickbank WILL work in this niche. Think about it adsense could make you 10 cents ckickbank can make $30.

Yep,

Look up and split test the top three tattoo sites on clickbank, I've heard they take a lot of clicks to convert but they do convert - People usually just look up designs/tribal lines/print them out for ideas etc. so turning them into buyers would be hard i think. You can also offer or make a collection like the clickbank ones and offer it for free in turn for whatever (fill out a survey, opt-in to x...), or just sell the inventory as suggested.

How much traffic does it get (daily uniques)? and where are they from, and how long do they stay? If you can profile your traffic a bit you should be able to put together nice pre-sells and warm up your buyers easily for the tattoo ebooks... Don't 'just' put a banner or two up, actually endorse it, review it/a few/recommend one, and softsell, you should be able to pull much more than you are from adsense.

Check your competitor website how there are monetizing his website. I suggest you do some split testing on your website. Click bank products is best for your niche. what about the CPA?

DID YOU MONETIZE CPA IF NOT DO IT MAN

^You might want to check your banner bawazeer, last I heard CLAIGSLIST was different than craigslist... and get rid of the 'a' in 'get a professional banners' < it's either 'get professional banners' or 'get a professional banner'.

There's about 10 offers on OfferVault that have opt-ins that are related to tattoo's, each one pays $1.5-$3 per e-mail submit. Clickbank= garbage unless you are working something VERY related

1. Push Wrecking Balm via aff links to get rid of their old, crappy tats

2. Then they can replace/recover them (ideally)with new tats from providers you refer them to on a private lead-gen basis you work out with a few individual tattoo shops

3. Charge a listing fee to the tattoo parlors to be on your site's list of "Top Tattoo Parlors in XYZ City." Add more Cities/List as demand allows.

Hi Robert,

If you're looking for an adult oriented lifestyle site to capitalize on then I suggest you take a look at SuicideGirls. ;)

I tried some offers from clickbank but they suck. 654 clicks ..no conversions. The traffic is not great but it can improve. The visitors are mainly from US.

The competitors are actually selling tattoo designs. I would sell too but i dont know where can i find them.

Thanks,
Robert

first of all, make some solid tests before you do shit.

1. Find out how much your making CPM wise from adsense
2. View your site everyday and see what Adword ads are showing on your site and make note of their ad title, body and url
3. Check your competitor sites and see what they selling and what ads on their site.

At some point, you gonna find out your CPM on adsense, believe it or not, some niches just earn you more with adsense CPM wise then selling something affiliate style.

On your note you made about which sites display on your site via Adwords, try selling those products directly yourself if you can and also do this for what your competitor is selling. If they are not products, but maybe branding ads.. see if it is in your best interest to sell advertising direct to the brand advertiser.

Remember to keep this inline with your eCPM from Adsense to determine what really does work for you

I work with a tattoo site that does pretty well selling foreign language tatts. It's really simple, just a name or short phrase translated. But he sells it as a tattoo and makes like $10 each, pays half to the translator, and adds it to his collection so he can resell it next time someone wants the name John written in Tamil or one of the other dozen languages he does.

Get hooked up with a bunch of freelance translators who will write a name in a foreign language for $5 (try fiverr.com) and put a nice pitch page together that makes it seem like it's worth $10 to get one word translated, lol.

It's actually sort of weak because it takes your time to track the orders so it doesn't scale.

It doesn't sound weak to me, it sounds like good outside the box kind of thinking, just poorly implemented. He should take a list of 200 most common names, and the most common phrases people want (love, honor, peace, whatever...) and have them translated in bulk. 5$ to translate one name? Fuck that. How long does it take to translate one name, probably less than a minute, he should be angling to get 25 or more names/phrases done at a time for 5 bucks.

I just took a look and I've got almost 500 names and phrases I've done for this guy at $5 each (more in some cases if it's a long phrase). And I do just one of the languages, he does about a dozen.

I think you're right, it could scale if done properly. Like how about filling the order automatically if there is an exact match for the name in the database, otherwise kick it out to be manually reviewed/translated. That should cover most orders if the database is big enough.

That's what I was thinking too.

Another affiliate idea for the OP, Dr. Numb skin numbing cream at ShareASale. They claim to be the top selling product in the tattoo industry.
