Monetize my site

I really need to figure out what the hell to do with the site in my sig.

It's fun, it really is, but it's not pulling in much of anything. Between $100 and $200 a month. I think the best month I ever had was about $500 or so.

So show me how and get paid.

You put your links, etc, do whatever. You can pretty much do anything you want as long as it won't get the site de-indexed or banned from any networks. Your links, your banners, your whatever. Don't piss off the visitors toooo much.

You get to keep everything the site brings in for 2 months. We'll agree on a finishing date beforehand, and you'll give me a general idea of what you'll do, and we'll agree beforehand on whether or not you want me to tell others about what you did.

Interesting idea or no?

Why don't you cut it back to 1 posts per week and work on some more profitable projects?

I sorta agree.. Not a whole lot you can do there. I would up the prices on the banners ($20-$60 seems a bit low) and just continue what you're doing.

And as Amanda said, focus on other projects. It is an interesting site, but if your goal is money, it's not ideal.

All you can do to up how much you're making is either:

1. get a new site with a new niche
2. get more traffic

You would think that hell would have an affiliate program by now.

What you could do is run a greeting card script where people can send "See you in Hell" cards to their friends or enemies, linking back to the site. If you get enough people using it, you can sell email ads.

id just try money survey sites and sweepstakes shit. you have pr4 and a good number of backlinks. maybe try to sell some links.

I can think of 5 ways that aren't even THAT creative right off the bat that will make that site much more profitable.

Myself, I prefer to work backwards and develop sites around niches that are already profitable/have hungry buyers instead of creating a site then trying to figure out what to sell after its getting traffic. So in that sense I'm not very creative.
