If you guys don't mind sharing your opinion on this subject.

I have 3 ideas for projects right now (some small and some large ... perhaps way more than 1 single developer can handle). And one of my idea (and the simplest one) is related to adult themed torrent sites, such as puretna, cheggit etc. However, differing from the aforementioned sites, I will not be hosting any torrents or downloadable adult content on that site.

This brings me to my point. How difficult (or simple) would it be to monetize from a "adult torrent" site?

I realize there are adult affiliates. However, why would anyone sign up for those adult affiliates if they can find porn for free from my site? In addition, I've heard that PPC simply doesn't work on adult themed sites. That brings my option down to CPM ads. However, worse case, I will be driving 4 digit uniques a day, and I am not sure if that kind of traffic will make CPM ads and my time worthawhile.

Any inputs would be appreciated :D

Have a look at mininova, the pirate bay, or new torrents, those three sites are large torrent networks, they know whats going on when setting up their sites, well for which offers to use, every torrent type of site I've seen uses some form of the offers on the three sties I just gave you.

The first if Adbrite Ads, the second is usually a form of online dating, and the third is always usually some sort of anime/henti/manga type of ad, in your case you could make it a anime/henti/manga porn ad.

I'll tell you it would be hard to monetize an adult torrent site because the majority of your content will be illegal and adult advertisers are content producers, so don't expect them to line up to buy ad space on your site.

Torrent Sites are hated by the adult industry. You can go with some dating sponsors but its better to make an honest living instead of one from piracy. Go ahead if you dont mind dealing with lawsuits and constant "outing" on adult forums.

I personally hope you die... because every day your torrent site grows... my site is less likely to make sales.

You can use adultfinder and/or Adbrite Ads. Also there are few CPM companies but I don't remember name...

usually 4 digit uniques a day is not enough but everything depends from traffic source. In my previous life I had 4-5 sites that would receive over +20,000 uniques per day. Currently, I have one site that I did not update for last 6-7 months and it is still getting about 10K uniques per day... Problem is that everyone wants free porn and it is very hard to get some decent traffic that will pay any money for it.

That way I'm on this forum looking for "alternatives" :)

Some of my consulting clients use online dating sites to monetize their adult sites.

As long as the offer's T&Cs don't prohibit advertising on adult/mature sites, you might see a number of mainstream CPA dating offers on some of these sites.

Also, I found about 4m page results for "dating affiliate" on google, so i'm sure some of those guys will be less discerning.

do be careful if you're loading an ebook loaded with aff links into cheggit, empornium or one of those sites, they'd kickban you in a heartbeat.

alot of the dating sites as well as adbrite etc are being put under pressure to drop there torrent site affiliates from porn paysite owners... Really what you are doing is morally wrong and is costing me money.

PS: How experienced are you anyway?
For someone who's got a bunch of typos in your posts and can't format your forum sig properly, I'd be somewhat concerned.

If you new to all this, you need to understand that pills, poker, porn require a certain set of skills...ones you may not possess yet.

Why not promote something mainstream, like from Copeac for example.

If you need/must do something adult-related, there's a number of GGW offers on the aff networks.

If you make it to ASE, I think Jon'll knock some sense into you.

It started this way but there are several huge things on the way. No need to go into details, but everybody running torrents will have a real problem monetizing them...soon :338:
