APF In Hardin | KULR-8 TELEVISION - Billings, Montana | Local Top Stories

American Police Force officials showed up in Mercedes SUV's that had "Hardin Police" stenciled on the vehicles. The twist, the city of Hardin doesn't have a police department.

Two Rivers Authority officials say having APF patrol the streets was never part of their agenda. "I have no idea. I really don't because that's not been a part of any of the discussions we've had with any of them," said Two Rivers Authority's Al Peterson.

As it stands now the Big Horn County Sheriff's Department is contracted to patrol the city and APF has no jurisdiction. If that was changed Peterson says it would have to go through the city council.

As for the jail contract with APF, both sides are yet to agree to a deal as bondholders rejected it again on Thursday morning. "It's a complicated issue there are a lot of tax laws to work through we were hoping to get it by Tuesday night now we're hoping to get it by Friday night," said Peterson.

Officials say the contract only deals with the detention facility and a police training center. There's no mention of a homeless shelter, animal shelter, or any services for the area.

"That was never in the contract to begin with. I think it was on a wish list of what Captain Michael wanted to do here," said Peterson. American Police Force officials plan to stay in the area for the next month.

Two Rivers is also a very small town located just north of where I live (its in Wisconsin). We refer to them as "Trivers".

There is a bank (Associated Bank) not more that 2 -3 blocks from my house that had a Blackwater van at it the other day. I was seriously creeped out.

Blackwater has rebranded several months ago as Xe.

If it said Blackwater, it might have been someone else.

From their website:
APF draws upon their vast global network of highly ranked officers and government officials providing private investigative services unparalelled to any operation in the industry worldwide. Their vast network of senior government officials both domestic and international, combined with their former law enforcement colleagues and current workforce, APF is considered the best global special taskforce team in the industry.

That's freaky as fuck. On a side note, the company that runs their site also runs one called "fetus farm".

Ok, a few things. How the fuck can you have a City that doesnt have a police department? Or in America are cities are defined differently?

Doesnt the U.S. have laws against impersonating a police officer? This has obviously been worked out quite high up the chain of policing/politics, who the fuck signed the document allowing them to do this job?

Meh , they're a bunch of wanabees that feel like trying to generate some press. Another site that i'm on has been all over this , they've got the group pretty well figured out.

Whenever a company has publicity photos with AIRSOFT guns , you know you've got a real winner.

The 'City' designation is based off the type of government. Some can be really small.
Normally the county sheriff or the state police will take over when that happens. They do the same in issues of corruption/bankruptcy.

I live in a city without a police department within the suburbs of Minneapolis. The city just contracts the police department of the next city over to patrol our city too.

Some small rural towns are just patrolled by the county sheriff department as mentioned above by xmcp123.
