I need a developer phone running stock android . What do you think is the best option in terms of ' value for money ' and battery life ?

Moto G, although it lacks some features found in the N4/N5, so as a developer you may want to test those features.

NEXUS 5
Well, I own a nexus 4 never had a problem ever and I really rape my phone and use it to its max ability but still still going strong.

Nexus 5 for sure. It has a faster processor than the MotoG. Best deal is from the Play store. You can't beat $399 for 32gb.

$199 is half $399 - he didnt ask which phone is best, he asked which is best value for money (moto g) and which has best battery life (moto g).

Great deal. Unlocked. Like it everyday!

Moto G just for it cheap price, you get latest android, good battery and decent hardware. Its totally worth the price right now in market.

I wouldn't buy anything Motorola, such as shitty backwards company.

Nexus 4 is great, and Nexus 5 is a huge improvement. If only they didn't fuck the loudspeaker up on both.

I love my Nexus 5 so much.

But if you mean "developer" phone as in it doesn't have to be that great cause you want to build shit on it, then Nexus 4 should do just fine
