Mounting an iPad in the car?

So I bought an iPad a few weeks ago and was thinking about setting it up in my car to run Spotify, and occassionally Netflix or whatever.

My friend bought some kinda mount that goes just above the front console.

I've seen some mounts that attach to the windshield, and some that go in the cupholder.

I haven't really found a stand that I like.


Just wondering if anyone here has attempted this.


It also might be borderline illegal, but whatever.

that is probably the classiest option

and this is probably a more "practical" option (poor people option)

I wouldn't risk mounting it off of the windshield personally, wouldn't trust it... never seen anyone with the cupholder option though

I'm on my iPad right now. This reminds me of those doods that have like $500 cars but like $5,000 rims and think there cool.... We see a lot of that here in SoCal

Putting an ipad on your dash is just asking for your shit to be broken into.

WTF do you need an iPad mounted on your dash for? Just use your phone, way less bulky. If you mount it too far up I could see you getting pulled over and ticketed for an obstructed view.

Not sure why you'd ever use an ipad over an android tablet that has a built in navigation system that uses google maps traffic data.
