I need recommendations for a new mouse. I've been using my beloved Logitech Media Mouse for something like 8 years.

I love this thing, but it's time has passed; it's double clicking when I click once, releasing and reclicking. Really throws things off.

I've been thinking about ordering a RAT 9 because it's so customizable for weight, etc.

Anyone use this? Or can you recommend a mouse you really like?

That stupid media mouse broke 2 weeks after I bought it like 5 years ago. I'm using a Microsoft Sidewinder right now, mainly because it was on sale.

Wow, that Logitech looks pretty cool. I just have a basic logitech wireless mouse that I was gonna recommend, the batteries last forever. Its been almost a year and im still using the same battery it came with.

How much did you spend on it?

I think it was like $49? Ya, pretty sure that's what I paid. I was shit broke and needed a decent mouse, felt so guilty buying it when we didn't even have a running car.

Fuck, how things have changed, lol.

I can remember when this was the SHIT!!

I could walk all over the house and control everything on the computer. It had a KILLER range.

I use Logitec LX8's on all my boxes right now.

But I have to agree that the RAT 9 would be my next mouse purchase when these die.

Logitech MX518

or

Microsoft Intelli 3.0

that's what I used back in my gaming days and I still use it for working. Fancy mouse != good mouse

I agree, but for gaming I like a mouse with a couple of buttons on the side and kinda big. I have a big hand compared to most mice and the little ones are extremely uncomfortable. I'm using an apple wireless mouse right now and it's alright. The size is perfect and the range is insane. You can take it in the bedroom and it'll work through 4 walls.

If your mouse isn't clicking correctly, take it apart and fix it. It isn't rocket science. That's what people did in the 50's when something stopped working. You're just gonna throw it out and buy a new one? how dare you! how dare you! take a long look at yourself in the mirror buddy and tell me what you see. I see PRIDE, i see POWER, i see a badass mother who dont throw slightly malfunctioning mice out in the trash.

You know what I did when my plastic scroll wheel disintegrated? I replaced it with TITANIUM.

Logitech - Performance Mouse MX

I did a little bit of research when i bought a new mouse about a year ago. This seems to be the current best mouse in the game, and I love it. It's got "darkfield" technology. It can track on a mirror, or even over see through glass. It's insane. Quite a few customizable buttons, you can switch the scroll wheel from a free rolling to a clicky incremental rolling. It has rechargeable batteries in it that gets charged through USB. Good stuff.

As soon as I found out the MX Revolution was no longer in production I went out and bought 4-5 of them. I'm on my last one and not looking forward to when it dies.

Will probably end up getting the Performance Mouse MX. I absolutely need a mouse where you can move the scroll wheel left/right because for me I have those macro'd to "move to the left tab" and "move to the right tab" (Ctrl+PageUp and Ctrl+PageDown) which makes doing anything on the internet 100000x easier.

I've got a Roccat Kone + and quite like it. It has tons of customizations, configurable 6000dpi laser, 4 slots for 5g weights, big rubberised wheel with side scrolling as well, soft touch coating, and configurable lighting...

Cherry Red mechnical switches (you can order it with Cherry Black, Blue or Brown too to suit your typing/gaming style) and every key is illuminated by it's own LED and has 3 brightness settings, and it can be really bright. Unfortunately Amazon sent me a French layout so I'm awaiting a replacement.
