Moving high rank sites to dedicated servers, any risk with rankings?

hey guys i'm thinking of moving couple high rank sites to dedicated server, is there any risk with rankings if i'll do it and change the hosting?

also what is your criteria for moving to dedicate server for a site?...how many visitors? earnings etc....

I have heard Matt Cuts say moving the site dont hurt ranking but to be honest I have never moved my sites or my clients so cant say for sure. Ill post the video if i can find it again

And, of course as you know , ANYTHING Matt Cutts says is legit and completely transparent. Save the band width and DON'T post the video.

As long as you don't have any incurred and/or unnecessary down time you should be fine.

As a positive, moving to a dedi will increase load times and give you some love from the Goog.
 
I do agree with Matt Cuts that if you want to move your high ranked sites to any dedicated server, there will be no risk involved with the rankings of your websites. But according to me it can increase the load times if you move your sites to any dedicated server. But if you do not get any unnecessary load time, everything will go fine with the shifting. But the ranking of your website will never be affected by this movement. You can do it securely. You can also check some videos that will explain the way of shifting if you are not well versed with method of moving your website in a safe way.

My bad: That should read - moving to a dedicated server will DECREASE load time and give you some love from Goog.
