MSN canceling affiliate network

just got an email that I will post when i'm not on my iPhone (no copy and paste)

But Microsoft is canceling their affiliate payout of ad center as of feb

How are they going to compete with YSM an adwords if I can't convince you to join by giving me a financial reason to tell other advertisers about it.

Heck even adwords had an affiliate program
 


Here's the exact quote from the email. Anyone else received this:
adCenter Affiliate Program Closed February 29, 2008

Thank you for your participation in the adCenter Affiliate program. As many of you are aware, the adCenter offer has closed and will no longer be available as of February 29, 2008.Final commission payout for any activity through the end of February will be processed and paid out in the month of March as usual. Please be sure to remove all marketing materials associated with this offer from placement as you will no longer receive credit for this activity. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but hope that you will take advantage of other offers available within the Microsoft Affiliate Network including Windows Live OneCare and Windows Live Toolbar. You can find more information about these programs by logging into the Affiliate Account Center and selecting Offers from the left-hand side navigation.

If they're going to buy, absorb and disembowel yahoo then they have no need for adcenter.
