Mutually Beneficial Rate Of Return For Investor on Borrowed Money?

Let's say you have a pretty safe investment that makes 100% ROI monthly return (you invest $100 and make back $200 after a month).

If you were to use borrowed money to scale your investment, what monthly return on investment would you offer the investor from whom you borrowed the money? This person will not care to have much detail of how the return is being made.

As far as I can tell it only has to be high enough (and "liquid" enough, ie. not "locked" up for a certain time period) to be substantially better than other popular forms of "safe investments".

In your opinion, what is a good monthly ROI % to offer the investor?

*Edit: in the title I used the term "rate of return" which may or may not be different from the term "return on investment"... however I am referring to "return on investment" in the title of this thread.

You're going to regret making this thread.

Fucken WF. This is what keeps me coming back. The entertainment value is priceless.

yes I'm going to regret it oh my god what do I do with my life now.

real opinions only please thanks.

So if I give you $50k, you can turn that into $100k in 30 days from now?

I'm absolutely fucken certain that's a realistic possibility. If you can double money within 30 days, what the fuck do you need investors for?

Right, to scam them. I'm out, but have fun with your thread!

100% a month is 2^12 or just about 4100% a year. Why not just offer 40% a year and quit giving a shit.

thanks for the suggestion, I'm not too familiar with the current return %'s of other popular forms of safe investments, which is why I made the post.

The risk free rate is what your bank offers. It's somewhere between zero and 2% at the moment.

More like the yearly, but yes. That's what you have to offer when there's no risk involved. When you ask some stranger to invest in your foolproof scheme, there's significant risk (of default) on his end. That's Why You've got to offer a better rate.

The rate you can bid is a function of the risk free rate and perceived risk.

Just tell investor you will return his money in full at the end of the first month. What do you have to lose? After that work something out like 15-20% ROI monthly. Lots of greedy fucks out there that will fall for a deal like that. Yo, shoot me a PM.

You can offer them anything you want to, try to keep it as low as possible ( that's the rule, right), but it also depends if you are offering them guaranteed returns or they are part of risk.

Just use your own money and reinvest it. If you can actually get 100% roi monthly and have no problems scaling then you will have like unlimited money in a few months lul

Prosper.com or LendingClub.com would be good places to start. Or cash advances from your credit cards.

I have borrowed a lot of money for real estate transactions, much different risk profile than online options.

In the first couple of years, when I didn't have much of a track record I would pay 12-15% yearly interest with monthly payments. I even took on a couple at 20%.

Now I typically pay 8-9% and turn away investors.
