So, without further a do I've begun my own journey in this industry.

Here's what I've done.

1 - Found a niche
  • I used several tools for this - the keyword research at SEOBook, Google Adwords search tool, and some basic digging on the WWW
2 - Registered two domains
  • one domain name will be used as the full blown site
  • the other domain is the keyword rich domain and will be used as a landing page for an ebook
3 - Built webpage using Wordpress
  • I've built quite a few sites with Wordpress and Joomla so this one was easy
  • submitted site and sitemap to google
  • installed analytics tracking
4 - Used guru.com to find a writer for my content
  • After thinking about this a bit I decided the easiest (and quickest) way to add content to my site was to hire a writer
    • I'm paying this writer $225 for 40 articles on this niche subject. Will be delivered in 1 week (and I have up to 3 revisions on these writings)
    • I will be using the same content on both websites (one will be packaged as an ebook, the other will just be content on the site).
    • Made sure I own ALL rights to articles written
5 - I'm already signed up with multiple Affiliate Marketing sites, so this wasn't anything new here. I did sign up with Clickbank to SELL my e-book throught. Found a few campaigns that fit this niche, applied to those publishers.

6 - Ordered my 250 FREE business cards at VistaPrint.com with my website on it. Total cost for shipping ~ $6

7 - signed up with lulu.com so I can have a printed book to sell on the 'full blown' website. As well as use as a marketing tool to get people to the site

[the rest of the steps will be coming soon]

If you see anything I've missed or have some suggestions please pass them along.
