Ok, ive been reading here for ages now and finally decided to dev one of my domains. This is my first major SEM project, as i have others.

Not sure whether its a good idea, but here is the site: Buy Cheap! | Find the best prices for | Cheap @ Buy Consoles
Im using price comparision between several highstreet sellers and using tradedoubler. Im pretty sure the landing page is good enough, when the keyword is passed to the site it has it in the title, a <h1> and appended to a list of keywords.

Ive got a list of 2257 longtail keywords, phrase and exact.
things like: buy cheap nintendo wii games console

Now my problem is, ive read several times to split keywords into groups, but i dont realy know what to split them into, or how to do it effectively, on the fly etc? Also ive read about putting high bids to start with and they should fall in a day or so? Is this true, if so, any advice?

Basically, from setting up the site and getting a keywords list, im not sure what way to go about things next.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

About splitting up the keywords. In this case I would probably split them up in groups per console. One for PS3, one for nintendo, etc… So you can write more targeted ads, maybe even send the ones from PS3-keyword group directly to the PS3 part of the site.

Maybe make the pictures clickable too? Right now the user have to click the text.

Anyway, don't listen to me. Im probably newer than you, so don't be surprised if someone else, and wiser, points out how big a douchebag I am ;)

Edit:Strike that prbably newer, and insert about 35 posts newer than you ;)

Just because you are newer to this, doesnt mean you dont have some knowledge i can use :) I was thinking of spliting into console aswell, and then maybe a group for expensive keywords... like "buy [console]"

just because ur looking out for a long tail keyword doesnt mean u create a term of ur own and then optimize it. My argument is who will search for such a long tail keyword. I usually never go for any term longer than 3 words in the beginning.

Take ur 3 word keyword which is a little less competitve and search, u will see that after 3-4 result rest all are some random results which dont make sense, if u are not a SEO but u stick here for a while, i bet u can easily land on the first page search results.

and u will see while optimizing for this keyword , u will cover up lots many long term keyword u had selected for urself.
