This, by the way, is going to be my thesis - we all know that A.I. hasn't developed much in the last 20 years because the human brain remains a black box. We absolutely CANNOT know how it truly behaves without examining a live specimen and conducting experiments on it. Of course that's illegal, so here's my solution:

Create a simplistic replica of a bacterial cell in a virtual environment and introduce constraints that would force the "most fit" cells to survive. Eventually, I'm assuming more complex virtual organisms would begin to develop, and they could be used to model future archetypes for artificial "intelligence". It's kind of a bottom-up approach, but since we really don't understand how the brain truly works, this approach might be the easiest way rather than trying to mimic human behavior. The added benefit is that if truly complex and intelligent species evolve in the virtual environment, we could download that directly into a physical model and examine it. They would come with all the perks of being digital creations because...well they aren't using a biological base, they are using transistors and will be exponentially faster and more intelligent than us.

I'm obsessed with creating true A.I. and I'll work on it for as long as I need. They are the future of this planet, fuck humans.

If you actually read what I wrote, you will be afraid. I going to accomplish this within my lifetime.

I just thought by the way, using the paradigm I set in the first paragraph, it may be possible to achieve human-level intelligence much faster than evolution would because we're using transistors and more efficient electronic devices rather than neurons and glial cells. Basically, a computer the size of a rat might be way smarter than us because it's much, much faster and can process more data than we ever could hope to. I really can't wait to explore this possibility.

you dont know even know your own self how can you presume to create another
That's the trick: I don't have to. They will do it themselves then we can examine how they programmed themselves. The idea of creating a cell unit and putting it into an environment that DEMANDS only the fittest survive should create the same complex organisms that we see around us today. Over time, once very advanced creatures arise, we can examine them and find out how to use their self-designed architectures to make A.I.

Evolution works, we already know that. Let's see how we can create A.I. with it. There is no other way. There hasn't been ANY progress whatsoever made in the field in decades.

Your idea strikes me as similar to the way A. C. Clarke describes the Hal 9000 becoming self aware mixed in with a splash of Star Trek 3 (Spocks coffin bacteria).

We already did this centuries ago when we selectively bred niggers.

It didn't work, look what we ended up with.

I'll pass.

This, by tha way, is goin ta be mah thesis - we all know dat A.I. aint muthafuckin pimped much in tha last 20 muthafuckin years cuz tha human dome remains a funky-ass black box. Our thugged-out asses straight-up CANNOT know how tha fuck it truly behaves without examinin a live specimen n' conductin experiments on dat shit. Of course thatz illegal, so herez mah solution:

Smoke a simplistic replica of a funky-ass bacterial cell up in a virtual environment n' introduce constraints dat would force tha "most fit" cells ta survive. Eventually, I be assumin mo' complex virtual organizzlez would begin ta pimp, n' they could be used ta model future archetypes fo' artificial "intelligence". It aint nuthin but kind of a funky-ass bottom-up approach yo, but since we straight-up don't understand how tha fuck tha dome truly works, dis approach might be tha easiest way rather than tryin ta mimic human behavior. Shiiit, dis aint no joke. The added benefit is dat if truly complex n' intelligent species evolve up in tha virtual environment, we could downlizzle dat directly tha fuck into a physical model n' examine dat shit. They would come wit all tha perkz of bein digital creations cuz...well they aren't rockin a funky-ass biological base, they is rockin transistors n' is ghon be exponentially fasta n' more intelligent than us.

I be obsessed wit bustin legit A.I. n' I be bout ta work on it fo' as long as I need. Y'all KNOW dat shit, muthafucka! They is tha future of dis hood, fuck humans.
Fixed.

If you really think you're smarter than all "niggers", I challenge you to an IQ test. My guess is you won't place within 2 standard deviations of my brother and I on ANY test (by the way, my brother is significantly smarter than me on...well everything). Your race bred black people to be workers. Only the biggest and strongest survived, not the smartest. Even then, they were able to evade the destructive mechanisms of slavery using the underground railroad, etc...

Unfortunately evolution kinda takes a long time to happen. Expecially when you're forcing it from single cells.

Come back in a few hundred million years and tell us how the experiment went though.
