My Site Gets 15000 unique a day and no sales

check the alexa rank, it gets a boat load of traffic, ive tried a bunch of ads, nothing converts well. The audience is a bunch of technocrats, but surely something must convert well.

Im thinking of getting a banner rotation with every single offer on it and just putting that up and trackign what sells.

Anyone else got any ideas


Also Anyone know a credit card payment processor thats lienient, cause most want a registered corporation

check this out, i put up a banner rotation with every possible ad from neverblue, it got like 30 000 impressions withing 8 hours and only 12 clicks and 0 sales :(


on a side note the site is not for sale, im lookign at what competitors are doign righ tnow
 
i checked out those affilaite programs for me to do that stuff would be so hard, id have to change everything, i just want a converting ad, but this audience wont buy shit, there addicted to rapidshare and free stuff

I've heard that forums are notoriously hard to monetize. That's really what you have there, right? You might have to pick a different niche or take a different approach, even if it's hard. Can you set up a newsletter? Promote some kind of contest/program with signups? There's got to be something. Otherwise just stick with Adcents and if you get enough traffic in a month use something like Tribal Fusion for CPM ads.
 
You can't make any sales with it, but you can sell it for $650 to me. Paypal ready.

No, but seriously. Most of the people on the site are looking for free & pirated files. Don't think they are in the mood to buy. Try installer programs or freebie affiliate ads.
 
pics of hot chicks... you got a bunch of nerds there without any life outside of the net, give them a way to get their stroke on by joining AFF or Naughty or Nice or something...

Seriously, just switch it to CPM. If you had 15,000 uniques a day, at 1 page view each, and delivered 10k ad impressions a day (at full sales inventory) and a CPM rate of $0.50, then you would be making $5/day from them. That's better than zero sales by a long shot and I am using pretty minimal numbers here.

If you deliver 30k ad impressions at $0.50 cpm, that's $15/day or $450/m at a one hundred percent ad fill rate.

Though its all useless numbers until you actually get a CPM ad up, and tell us how it goes...

Note: The difference between page views and ad impressions accounts for ad blockers, and whatnot...
 
Have you tried aff programs for TV/Movie downloads or video game renalts/netflicks. That's the only thing that comes to mind for that type of traffic. This is a really good topic imho..it could make for a good public case study. Especially with 15k/day I'd try and get a CPM based setup going to start making something.

See how many people are registered, and send them a monthly newsletter. Many companies will sell this for you if you like.


I think banners etc, google adwords, but make them in the posts, so as you scroll down you see them...
 
Nice fourm man! How long did it take you to get that many members?

If they won't buy shit, freebie offers should work? Maybe try some incentivised stuff?
