Does anyone have any clue on how much ?

Just noticed a former client of mine (club promoters) advertising on MySpace promoting a New Years bash they are having.

I'm assuming their ad is targetted by the member zip in their profile or by GeoIP.

Does anyone know what MySpace charges for targetted (age, sex, region) and non-targetted nationwide advertising?

They quote a $1 CPM for RON ads, but you can chew them down. You can also advertise with precision click as they rep a lot of the inventory for myspace

I would think that the CTR would be absolute shit, considering how many ads MySpace has all over their site. Those kids have to be completely banner blind by now.

Banner blind implies intellect > a starfish and from my experience that is very presumptuous when it comes to myspace users..

When I contacted them months ago, these were their rates:
All rates are based on a
CPM (cost per thousand impressions). Campaign minimums are $2,500.

ROS - Run of Site
728x90 - $1.65 (large top banner)
300x300 - $2.50 (medium box)
430x600 - $2.25 (large box)
120x600 - $1.85 (vertical banner)

Targeted Price - Targeting can be done by any of the profile features like
age, city, gender, etc. Each additional targeting item is $.25.
728x90 - $2.15 (large top banner)
300x300 - $3.00 (medium box)
430x600 - $2.75 (large box)
120x600 - $2.50 (vertical banner)

Advertise using Facebook. I find their rates much more affordable, with no minimum required, and the ads are a lot more responsive to them.

What's the minimum you can buy from them? I'd think it'd pretty high since they probably dont accept small time advertisers.

looks like $2,500.

the guys have "sponsored by myspace" on the ad banners so i'm guessing they must have worked out some sort of special rate with myspace in order to bring costs down.

i'd ask them what they paid but they consider me competition now so it would never happen.

thanks...i personally don't think its worth it unless you spent $2.00 just on targetting. and even then i don't think its worth it other then to raise the profile of these guys...
"look at us we are advertising on myspace and being sponsored by them"

type of thing.
