Myspace media buys?

been running on MYADS for awhile now.. looking to up my volume.. ive always had problems getting anything to work well bidding CPM i dont know if they serve the ads differently or what but my really high CTR ads take an absolute shit when i bid CPM.. even my rep has advised me to stay on CPC..

Id like to look into doing some media buying and have more flexibility in my ad copy (animated gifs etc, dating offers without being whitelisted etc.)

i figure media buying on myspace would be a good place to start since im familiar with the demos and I have good creatives that work..

who or where should i go to setup a media buy on myspace? not sure if its internal or if other companies serve up the ads.. also if anyone has some advice on media buying with myspace any tips or things to look out for would be appreciated..
 


Myspace is the new Facebook. I'll submit 20 ads, they disapprove 12 of them all for a certain age range, then let the other 8 through. If you want anything done, you have to email your account manager, mine is actually pretty useful.

Oh, and the CPC/CPM thing is a bitch for me too, I have a good number of ads that are roughly .8-1% CTR on CPC, I switch over and bid the suggested CPM, and my CTR is magically terrible. Apparently they're going to be revealing major changes here "very soon." We'll see.
 
yeah im curious to see the new changes.. my account rep is really helpful... but yeah i have about the same CTR with CPC and then .03% and what not with CPM same demo same impression numbers same ads everything.. it be one thing if the ads being served more quickly made the CTR drop a little but it takes a complete dive to almost no clicks which ive never been able to make any sense of.. haven't had problems with ad approval really but the issues your having is why im looking into a media buy
 
I ran some Myspace Ads a few months back before they got strict like Facebook.

Sometimes they'll serve my ads up on non Myspace pages, and I'll look at these pages and the quality control on these alternate pages are horrible.

Myyearbook.com is one of them I believe.
 
If you can't do it through Myspace you should be able to do ti through other 3rd parties.

I've had access to some of the new changes already and I haven't been that impressed although apparently some people are doing well with them.

A year ago is forever in internet marketing, that equates to about a decade in other industries. I use to be able to run a TON of shit on every ad platform that I can't any longer.

True, but I still can do a buy on MS without being a brander...they wont accept biz opp anymore though.
 
contact engage bdr, I'm pretty sure the minimum amount is 50k to do a buy, might have changed. Unless this is fairly recent you don't have to be a brander just have money to start.
