I don't know if MySpace is going to be at Ad-tech, but if they are, this might be something they speak about. I think everyone knows it's going to happen, but as of today there's a timeframe on it. Looks like first quarter of 2008......

The new tool will enable users to select from a number of ad targeting factors such as geographic, demographic, and various user interest categories. The service will be ready for use by early 2008. The minimum advertisement purchase size is $10; pricing will be based on a click to the advertiser’s profile and will be auction based once it gets going (to start things off, MySpace will charge a fixed CPC based on the category).

Mmyspace is dumb for not doing this long ago. I don't see many profiles without a Macys gift card. I go to myspace for 1 thing which should take 1 minute but next thing I know it's already been a couple hours and I still didn't get that thing done. Yay for myspace ppc, it might make it fun again.

i find it very homosexual as well that they are making you link to a profile and not an outside landing page...hopefully they will smarten up and change this before launch

I think I could make a pretty sweet landing page out of a myspace profile. He'll you can pretty much do anything you want with one. If they allow you to do when advertising I don't see it as a problem.
