So I've tried to grab a couple expiring domains on NameJet recently, and noticed a "bidder" by the name of NameJet Reserve.

I did some looking around, and as expected this is actually a reserve price on the auction. It turns out that these are pre-release domains that are owned by individuals, and aren't actually owned by NameJet.

So, are people using NameJet's expiring domain service to sell off domain names that they still own. If so....how?

Yes they are auctioning off non-expiring domains owned by third parties. This is done on a limited basis with some domain owners. You would have to contact them directly and see if they accept putting some of your names.

Snapnames does this more officially, you just need to have the domains registered at Moniker.com. Theres a link to submit them for approval in a Snapnames auction.
