I had a psd cut, and the guy has several images over 500k loading on my pages. if you think you can help me out with this, I'd REALLY appreciate it.

Thanks!

There's a bunch of online CSS shrink tools, that just minimize it down. I'd check the site before and after in all the browsers you can to double check.

In terms of the images, what are you looking for? It seems like photoshop and save for web should do what you're looking for.

I think it's more of how the photoshop was cut up that's the issue.

For instance:

The main background was cut up as a single gif that's 719x920 which by itself is 600k

this is done a few times throughout the home page especially with other bg images which bogs down the load time excessively. I tried cropping that bg image to like a 20px width and getting it to repeat, but I know fuck-all about css and it didn't work :(

btw... I'm not looking for FREE help!! I think a few elements in the css and a few images need to be redone, and I'll pay for that work for sure :)

If you wish, send me the psd file to my Yahoo! account (see profile). I'd like to take a look at it before saying whether I can help you or not. :rasta:
