This one is for anybody who runs a webdesign or seo business.

Ok so long story short, I've been offering cheap website packages with a little bit of seo and social thrown in to sweeten the deal(my portfolio is fairly small at this point).

Currently how I've been dealing with things after getting the client is to go in and talk with them about what they want for their website, it generally takes a few weeks to get things set up. That's because it takes a while for me to get all the info I need, I can set up the website easily in a few days.

I want to be able to make it all happen without meeting with the client personally(I know there's massive value to doing this but I want to get a lot more clients out of my area so it's simply a waste of resources) and make the process as quick and efficient as possible, how would you guys recommend I get all the info I need from the client?

I was thinking possibly online forms for them to fill out after they sign the contract with uploads for images?

Any advice would be much appreciated, cheers.

let me know, because I'm doing something similar.. and looking for the most stream lined process as possible. I am also using forms on my website

You're on the right track. Most clients "don't know what they don't know." You need a script/system of all the questions to ask, basically what you're going to do with the form. And put it in language they can understand.

You kind of have to quiz them. I would recommend having a basic form framework set up, but then set up a customized form for each client based off that. Shouldn't be too difficult with Gravity Forms. By adding the industry specific questions and whatnot, and/or names of their people, it helps make up for not meeting face to face.
