Need to cold call hundreds of businesses to sell them wholesale.

I need to cold call hundreds/thousands of businesses across the US to see if they'd like to start buying our product wholesale.

Any tips? Should I hire a virtual assistant to do this for me? Hire local employees in my city to do the calling?

I feel like such a noob all over again :)
 


i mean if you actually wanna try the cold calling route you need to a build a solid script and get with some real sales people. 1099 them and give a Commission on sales.. no way indians are gonna produce jack shit for you over the phone.

If this is your main idea to generate sales you better invest in it. Don't just do over the phone either use your IM skills and maybe even look into direct mail or confrences/trade shows/networking etc.
 
Yessa :) I'm already doing a lot of it with IM but I want to expand since it's pretty low key still.

I'll work on a script with some friends in the cpa call center arena and get some sales people on commission for it.

No indians. Must speak perfect english.

Also, ditto to warming them up. Send them snailmail first if profitability allows. If not, atleast fucking email them first.
 
get a simple crm and load up the names. Then hire 3-4 people to make calls remotely and figure out how to do a hot transfer to you for interested parties. Could do this all with a fairly simple asterix voip system and soft phones. This way they could easily live transfer through voip and you could be anywhere in the world.

Before you do this though make sure you dial yourself so you can get your script right. You can learn a lot by just sitting down and dialing yourself.

Thanks brotha - I have limelight (not sure that would work for this..) but I could use highrise (37signals) too right?

I'll look into the voip so I can set that up but I'm definitely start all this simple since I know the product like the back of my hand, plus why they'd want to resell it. So I'll dial first so can write an excellent script. :)
