I'm interested to open a ringtone company in my country (it's in asia not USA or europe so ringtone owner please don't be afraid to pm me and share your knowledge)
I have a few questions.
I see lots of offer for free ringtones, how do you follow up to make sales? (do you sms and say they can download more ringtones at such and such price? or let them wander around your site and pay for ringtones?)
How about the fee structure? do you charge per download or is there a package or flat fee?
How does it work with recording companies? Do you have to get license?
What is the conversion rate from leads to sales? What's the customer lifetime value?
I'm planning to call as many ringtones providers owner as possible over the next week. If you know any please pm me. If needed i will pay for ringtone owners time.
Also anyone know who are the top dogs in this industry?
