Just watched Jack Ketchum's The Girl Next Door.

One of the most disturbing movies I've seen. But I enjoyed it.

Other good psychological thrillers that are on Netflix streaming??

More thriller- less psychological, but "The Killing Room" was pretty good.

Also- think it may have been bbwolfe that recommended it, can't remember- but "Hard Candy" was really good. Would make for an... interesting... date movie.

Neither are streaming, but def put them in your DVD queque.

Why does jack ketchum sound familiar to me? I feel like I've read a book of his.

edit: OH! he's the one behind Off Season. That man is fucked up.

This is the only "The Girl Next Door" worth a shit.

What is Off Season?
I didn't see a movie by that name...is it a book?

edit: Found it....it was the first book he wrote, published in 1980...might have to check it out.

Yeah. You have to get in the "30 years ago" mindframe. You know, when the only scary thing out there was Stephen King. This was probably the first real delve into psychological WTF.

His stuff reminds me of Richard Laymon too. So if you like the Ketchum book, check out this guy.

December Boys was a good flick. No idea if its on NF. Then there was this one Try Seventeen. It had that frodo kid in it.

check out a documentary on netflix now called" i think we're alone now",
it is one of the most fucked up movies i've ever seen

This is the best movie on Netflix. Watch it high, and it's the best movie you'll ever see.

PS - The main character looks a little like dullspace. rofl

That's a great movie. Very disturbing but very good.

Ya, my neighbor and I watched it. Neither of us knew the background, or really what it was about...we kept saying "What the ??", but couldn't stop watching it. As you say, "very disturbing but very good".
