I was watching CNN a few weeks back and they had a 'new story' that was obviously an advertisement for New Zealand. They talked about certain places to go, what to do, it came off to me really weird. I don't really watch those news channels often so I was pretty surprised when I saw it . I kind of forgot about it until the other night when I was listening to Joe Rogan's podcast and he had Amber Lyon on. She used to work at CNN as a journalist. She talked about how different countries have PR people that work with new channels and actually PAY for their stories to get played on these new channels. To me this is totally fucked up and pretty damn similar to a farticle. Is this legal?
