New Sony Ultra

I haven't seen them yet but the content is not out in 4k yet, so what's the point of being the first to buy it if you can't enjoy the full capabilities of it?

This. Not really sure about the upscaling tech, but I'm going to wait it out and see the reviews pour in.

My ISP added a monthly cap late last year for new customers and anyone that changes their plan after the cap was added.

250GB/month for 12Mbps, I currently go over it every month.

That sucks, do you have Comcast? I wish google fiber spreads to more places

Have you tried downloading stuff on your neighbor's network? That has always helped me stay under my monthly cap.

I recently read under Comcast.com (when I was logged in, they removed the bandwidth limit of 250 gigs/month

4K would be nice for a computer monitor, but are they ever going to release larger OLED displays? I've been waiting on one of those for years and still nothing.

Never really understood people's obsessions with having a super nice TV...

I have a $599 Samsung 43" Plasma TV (Low end). It's 720p. Sure 1080p, and a 63" would be better, but it's perfect... Laptop > DL'd 1080p rip > HDMI > TV. = The perfect movie quality.

Remember when TV's used to be on those old tube ones with grainy pictures and what not..

I think I can comfortably live with today's technology..

Aside from that, TVs to me are just background noise to keep my place more lively.. There's nothing good on anymore, Cable blows (cancelled that four years ago), and it's just an unproductive time suck.

........

But shit, back to the original thread.. Does look pretty neat. I wonder how much more they can fine tune TV's... I mean our eyes can only handle so much. Read an article a year ago about how all the major TV brands were just marketing a bunch of bad new technologies.. As they are so far ahead of the game, they need to slow it down as much as possible.
