We liked it thirty years ago. Today, it's all crappy. But we wish it was all cool again, like it was when we were kids, and we could take our kids to see it and say "look, look, isn't it cool?!" and they'd go "wow, dad, it's real cool and so are you!"

And as long as we're dreaming, we'd also like ponies.

I liked the original, and im really wanting to see this one. But I think its going to be one of those movies that everyone likes (tendy kids and shit) just because it was an old movie from back in the day. And i bet the old one starts selling everywhere again before this one comes out in theaters and everyone will go nuts over how "retro" it all is. thats my guess
 
I persoanlly can't wait, it looks awesome to me.

They used to have the arcade game in my building when I was a kid, I was such a geek I mastered the patterns and could play indefitely. Light cycles FTW!!!!

I can't wait but why they gotta give me fuckin blue balls with trailers like this when it's not even coming out till DECEMBER?!
 
at least it won't happen like the last harry potter movie, oh we're releasing it in dec then 3 months out oh wait we're gonna release it in the summer and have the movie suck ass compared to the rest
 
I know the producer of this film been working on it for 6 years. Definitely has a Dark Knight kind of feel especially with the soundtrack.
 
I love 80's remakes. ungst ungst ungst - although the 1st one came out before i was even born but that's okay. Everything in the 80s was made for commercializing (popples, my little ponies, ET, GI Joe, hot wheels) because of regulations on children's advertising. Since they weren't allowed to market to kids through commercials they did so thru movies and tv shows. Now that it's been deregulated for years, we still have product lines and kids shows but...they are all kinda...lacking. We'll see if Tron makes a comeback.
