I see a lot of people trying to pimp stuff on sites like blogger/wordpress/whatever.

I recently launched a mini-site geared towards a single product. The top result has been bouncing around, but this week, it was a well-written page on a Web 2.0 property.

Today, I saw that it the page got taken down by the owners of that domain.

Lesson learned: Promote on YOUR own domain that YOU control! Plus, you can get keywords in the domain!

Ahh, one less barrier for me to have to deal with!!

I'm surprised at the amount of people who do this, all it takes is 1 fake complaint to the web 2.0 property and your competition can instantly have you removed from the SERPs.

I run my own VPS and domains. Soon I'll be branching off to different IP addresses as I get more campaigns.

The majority of my work is with Wordpress. Great programming and theme support, I sometimes code PHP/MySQL/CSS myself, and there's a plugin for everything.
