Hi WF newbs, glad you found the right spot for yourselves. As a form of showing my appreciation for everything I've learned from WF, as well as my appreciation for your ability to post your newb questions in the right spot, I'm starting this Q&A answer thread. Please post any and all SEO questions here AND send them to my virtual assistant via PM here to make sure they don't get missed. Thanks and I await your questions.

If it were not for Grindstone... I would be poor. And black. And gay. And not Jewish. And a farmer. And not be able to type. And call everyone sir.

Thank you Grindstone for giving me life. My mother thanks you too.

That is all. Bros.

Guys, thanks for the questions. I'm going to be offline a lot this week so make sure you PM my assistant all of these questions too so he can format them into a big spreadsheet for me and we'll sync them via google docs. Thanks!

There is no money in SEO, because it has died. The great mind of Shoemoney has proclaimed this, and since he is quite possibly, the greatest expert on the topic of SEO and ALLLLLL topics of the world too, duh, he would never state something without knowing for sure and being ABSOLUTELY 100% sure of this before saying it.

So your question is just m00t.

seomoz.com is often cited as an authoritative SEO resource. However, the site gets almost zero organic search traffic:

Are there any SEO resources for people who aren't chumps?

Wow, Jon, JCash, AND Bofu up in this thread? Newbies, don't miss out, take advantage of all these experienced SEO guys to ask your questions now!

Also, if you're too afraid to ask publicly for fear of looking stupid, you can just PM my assistant right now and ask him, and then I'll answer it and he'll PM you back.

I'm down to help out if you'll allow it. It's your show brother. (subscribed)

Unfortunately this threads short on SEO's who think anything that mentions their product is a sales thread, SEO's who think pagerank doesn't exist, and SEO's who refuse to believe in honeypot forums.

If you need SEO help, Ly2 from WF is the person you should contact. He helped me clean up my on-page seo and offered me some helpful tips on linking and content.

ok, I'll give you a shot. give me a good suggestion for link-building these days.

not the usual forum posting, please

There's nothing wrong with the links that everyone already uses, most just use them in the wrong ways.

Social is still extremely strong, especially when you use other types to balance out the authority levels (like articles/posts, etc).

How important is KW diversification and how many KWs should I be targeting for my site? I have a fitness site with a main page and 3 supporting pages. I need to do a lot of work on the site to make it look better, but the content is 100% original and written by myself.

Right now I'm using Blog Blueprint to send daily backlinks, and I plan to buy a package for more diverse links soon.

I'm very new to all of this, but a tenacious son of a bitch, so I won't give up on it.

I need to investigate this Blog Blue Print to give you a good answer. Could you post a hoplink?

I've got a question: What do you do to preserve previous linkjuice/authority when you buy a TDNAM domain?
