This post will serve two purposes. To show you an example of how if you think just a little bit outside of the box and don't search for pre-existing methods/ideas, you will absolutely drive to the bank in a honda civic and get back to your home in a Ferrari.
Also, everybody should post some success stories of ideas you had that you made up yourself. Out of the box shit, nothing you usually find on forums like this (ppc with review sites, basic seo, polls, blogs, etc ... the list goes on, sites like ppccoach pound these topics to death so there's no use in reinventing the wheel). Anything creative that will make people go whoa ... tricky is a good post. ONLY post them if you aren't afraid of losing your cash flow when everyone is on whatever you're doing. For example, if you found a community of people looking for stupid shit to waste their money on, and you're making a killing off of them, DON'T OUT THE METHOD. Unless you're kind of stupid I didn't really have to say that in the first place. BUT, if this is something everyone can capitalize on, post away. The main idea of this is not to have a list of shady ways to make money but to give ideas of how to think a little bit outside of the ordinary to make the monies. If this is a little blackhat, it's OK. If it is something completely rediculous and is blacker than a black hole wearing a black hat, think twice about posting.
I want people to start thinking about their traffic as real people. Of course this is a numbers game but when you think about it in all numbers, you forget to analyze your traffic and think about what their intentions are, what kind of people they are, and how easy it would be to make such a user base perform a specific action such as fill out a form.
Here's my story:
Although this was about half a year ago, I remember this vividly because it was my first experience with such kind of money online. I didn't follow anyone's instructions or ask for any kind of methods from big time affiliates. All I did was found an opportunity to capitalize on a large group of people by setting up a situation where they filled out a form for me. By the hundreds. It all took about one and half hours.
Most of you know 4chan. If you don't, I won't provide a link because it's a pretty unnecessary site to be on in the first place. Especially if you're with your family or at work. The main point of this is 4chan is a community with e-n-o-r-m-o-u-s traffic. When you submit a thread, by the time you are almost instantly redirected to the main page, your post is already on the 2nd to 4th page. It can get kind of hard to find your posts at times. Well, I've always known about it and I wondered if there would be any way to monetize this insane group of people. The traffic was so large that If I somehow start an interesting thread, and get people hooked, there is big money in it for me. At the time, I was with Dating Gold and decided to promote one of their dating sites to them.
It is important to really think about what you are going to do and really analyze the community before you start your game plan. I know for a fact that 90% of 4chaners (read /b/tards) are young, single, ugly, and nerdy. They frequently like to brag about how they don't get laid and ask about masturbation advice. Yea, they're pretty lame for the most part. Knowing this bit of info, it came instantly to me that they would probably be interested in dating sites. If I just start a spam thread to them, telling them to join this site for hot dates and sex, they would flame the shit out of me and most likely I would be banned for a couple days. This was the tricky part so I started a thread going "Hook Up Game" and told them that this would be an interesting game. Since the community is so huge, it is possible that some of us are geographically close to each other. Possibly in the same city. SO I said here are the rules: Join this site (aff link went here), post your real city in your info, and make your last name "_b" so we can identify each other on the site.
To put it lightly, this thread made a KILLING. In a place where threads are lucky to last 15 seconds to a minute, mine lasted one and a half hours. My click to sign up ratio was 3:1. That's right, I made a fucking 33% conversion rate. I made somewhere around 165 leads and 500 dollars in one and half hours. Now, let me say this. I DID NOT get paid. This is because I was a retard and didn't realize how blackhat this was and didn't cloak my links because of it.
!!!! The point of this story is not to get swarms of people going to 4chan and starting hook up game threads, trust me, it will not work. This has been diluted since I shared this story with BHW a while ago and they milked it like motherfucker. I wanted this to serve as an example to show you that even though i was a complete newbie back then, I made 500 bucks in less than two hours. All by really THINKING about ways to get a certain group of people to perform an action. Not just spamming your affiliate link everywhere like an idiot.
