Both Bose and Harmon Cardon were always over priced.

I don't know first hand about their noise canceling headphones.

I do know that Bose is over priced in the audiophile industry for what they are offering.

I would seriously look into the other two companies first and try to find someplace that has them where you can test them out before hand.

If I'm not mistake Bose invented noise canceling headphones and they also have a contract with the military. That says a lot.

That's true, but what exactly? LOL

Keep in mind that most companies that invent a technology are not always the leader in that field a few years later. (Bose might be, I really don't know for certain either way on their noise canceling headphones.)

Just the idea of the Military Contract makes me even more skeptical. (Trust me on this, the Military does NOT have the latest and greatest technology in the world. Lulz)

P.S. Bose and Harmon Kardon (Correct spelling.) were the Saturn of the audiophile industry.

I'd think anything that can survive and perform well in a warzone is reasonably effective. Even more so when you see/hear the size of the bombs blowing shit up nowadays. As someone else mentioned, you'd be better off going to the biggest electronics retailer in your area and trying them out for yourself.

Who won?!! Lulz :D

P.S. Just did a search for noise canceling headphones, it only showed this thread. All the others were for ear buds or regular headphones.

OK, it's this thread I guess http://www.wickedfire.com/shooting-shit/59375-recommend-me-pair-headphones.html

There's this one too... http://www.wickedfire.com/shooting-shit/64997-opinions-needed-good-set-earphones.html

Don't get hung up on noise canceling unless you plan on wearing them on the subway every day or something like that. A good fitting pair of headphones will block out most external noise anyway.

VERY true statement.
For example

See how old that truck is? I still use the piece of equipment on the right every day.

Don't bother, their shit is made in China.

$300 for headphones? Please nigga. You need ear buds and you're good to go.

I have these and love them

You obviously don't travel much.

I think the fact that 90% of the business travelers I see on the plane wearing Bose headphones might say something about their product. I have asked many users and they swear by them.

As mentioned above though, unless you're on the subway (or on a plane) a lot, just use quality ear buds and save the cash.

My Dads got a pair of BOSE. I've got a 30 dollar "KOSS" brand with a microphone as well.

We compared.

I laughed at him because he couldn't tell the difference.

I just bought them for the microphone anyway. Everyone knows that you can't cancel out the noise 4 kids and their friends generate anyway.

you got my vote on Audio Technica. They are awesome... makes plane rides nice, great to work with at home or in the office... I feel like I'm in my own little bubble.
