Noob Adsense question

For the past few days I'm seeing page impressions at my site, along with zero clicks. But there is a small amount of change in the earnings column. How can this be?

I'm not taking about big money here; yesterday it was 3 cents, but no clicks at all.

I have 1,186 impressions so far this month (a lot of them are mine from site work). I had no idea Google paid for impressions; I thought it's clicks only. Do you think that's the reason?

maybe they are paying out for partial clicks

I've had it happen every so often as well. I think it may have something to do with their internal tracking system making adjustments across a large number of publisher accounts. Like they can only round payouts down so many times for fractions of a cent until it catches up with the bean counters.

It's actually possible to get a click and no get paid at all in adsense. This is because someone clicked an ad who are in a country that google will not pay for a click.

Have you used your adsense id/channel on a site like hubpages? If you do this it's possible that revenue will be shown, but not show which website generated the click.
